Safety Features
Although the only standard safety feature with the 2019 Compass is a rearview camera, the vehicle does offer several upgrades. Among some of the offerings include adaptive cruise control and headlights, automatic emergency braking, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rain-sensing wipers. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the vehicle the highest rating in six crash test categories. The IIHS also awarded the SUV with superior rankings for front crash prevention.

Standard technology found with the compass is the easy-to-use Uconnect infotainment system along with two USB ports. One of these ports benefits passengers riding in the rear seat. The vehicle also includes a six-speaker audio system, voice controls, a 7-inch touch-screen display along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Available upgrades include a larger 8.4-inch touch-screen display, a nine-speaker premium audio system, and satellite radio.
