Tradesman

If you opt for the base-level Ram 1500, you’ll find yourself with the Tradesman trim. For a standard model, it certainly has a lot to offer, including 18-inch steel wheels and automatic headlights. Heated power mirrors and a 5-inch infotainment screen are standard as well. The screen is particularly useful, and Bluetooth, USB ports, and an auxiliary audio jack are included as well.

Big Horn

Upgrade to the Big Horn, and you’ll find yourself with 18-inch alloy wheels and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls. These are the main standard upgrades from the base model, but the Big Horn has more optional upgrade packages available as well, including one that comes complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in addition to an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Rebel

For drivers who plan to go off-roading in their truck, this is the trim level you need. It comes equipped with a unique suspension and off-road bumpers designed to cope with rough terrain for excursions off the beaten path. This trim is also equipped with skid plates, all-terrain tires, and an electronic locking differential. Among the most impressive systems is the hill-descent control, which will take care of braking when you’re slowly making your way down an incline.

Laramie

If you’re more interested in luxury features, the Laramie trim is where you should start. It comes standard with leather upholstery and heated and ventilated front seats. There are driver memory settings as well, so you can always call up your preferred settings with a simple press of a button. You can also opt for bucket seats if you like with this trim. There’s a Laramie Longhorn upgrade available, too, which is sometimes recognized as its own trim, that will boost the wheel size to 20 inches and offers side steps along with a power tailgate release.

Limited

The top-level Ram 1500 is known as the Limited, and it offers the ultimate in luxury driving. In addition to all the features included in previous models, save for the off-road features of the Rebel, it includes power-operated running boards and blind-spot monitoring. There’s also extensive Limited badging and styling all across the pickup. Even with all its offerings, you’ll still have upgrades available, including the option to upgrade to a 12-inch infotainment screen, the largest in its class.
