The 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye has an impressive amount of power that will easily leave your competition in your dust. It can make it down the ¼-mile track in a mere 10.8 seconds. It is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged high-output Hemi V-8 engine under the hood that cranks out an insane 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque. The SRT Hellcat Redeye’s engine gets some of its parts from the SRT Demon. For a thrill, feel the wind in your hair as you zip down the zip line or test your skills on the aerial adventure courses. Check out Jim Gary’s Twentieth Century Dinosaurs, an internationally acclaimed exhibit that features colorful dinosaurs made from recycled car parts.

The Tallahassee Museum is located at 3945 Museum Dr. and is open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission rates are $12 for adults, $11.50 for seniors 65 and older and college students with I.D., $9 for children ages 4 to 15, and free for children three and under. Wildlife Collision Safety: Tips to Drive Safely

Most of us have been in a terrifying situation where an animal darts out in front of our vehicles. Our natural response might be to freeze up or quickly swerve to avoid hitting them, but those reactions could do more harm than good. We’ve compiled a list of safety tips for how to avoid collisions with wildlife.

Look Ahead

To avoid potential collisions, you should constantly be scanning the road ahead of you in order to spot wildlife in enough time to stop your vehicle. However, if you weren’t looking ahead, once you spot an animal, quickly scan the road and shoulder ahead of you. Look for anything that may hinder you from stopping if you had to merge onto the shoulder, and pay attention to any oncoming traffic. Never cross the yellow line when another vehicle is approaching.

Also, keep in mind that many animals travel in packs. If you see one, there’s a good chance that more are around that you might not be able to see.

When your brakes start to go bad, you’ll be the first to notice the small signs. Be sure to not discount them because they may be easy to overlook in the beginning. If you experience any vibrations, high-pitched squealing, or if it takes more force to stop your vehicle than it has in the past, you’ll want to head to a mechanic for a check.

Florida Historic Capitol Museum

The Florida Historic Capitol Museum, built in 1845, offers an educational look at Florida history via three floors of interesting and diverse exhibits. While visiting, you’ll have access to

photographs, videos, audio information, an array of objects, and visual displays. Allow time to visit the exterior grounds to see the impressive monuments and plagues, courtyard, landscaping, and a walk to the top of the cupola to enjoy views from the observation deck.

To begin your tour, stop by the reception desk for instructions. Prior to arriving at the museum, you’ll have access to a downloadable audio tour describing each exhibit. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday and select holidays from noon until 4:30 p.m. Admission to the museum is free. About Apalachicola National Forest

The Apalachicola National Forest is Florida’s largest with a massive 573,521 acres of lush forest and 2,735 acres of waterways. The forest is a smorgasbord of textures and colors and diverse landscapes that include caverns, sinkholes, the Apalachee Savannas, wildflower-filled prairies, and interesting miles along the Florida National Scenic Trail.

At Prospect Bluff, Fort Gadsden, also known as the British Fort National Historic Landmark, is a must-see military establishment that stood during the War of 1812.
